Whitney J. Fox | PhotojournalistBefore concentrating her career on photography, Whit worked in public relations + experiential marketing starting in 1997. Throughout the following decade, she lived in the Boston, Los Angeles + Portland, Maine markets working with clients from primarily Fortune 100 + 500 companies. She decided to leave the corporate communications industry in 2006 to focus her career on visual narrative. Whit studied photography at Connecticut College. Her passion for photojournalism was fueled while living in India studying at the University of Mysore + perpetuated during graduate studies at the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies where she was introduced to the beauty of Maine + local storytelling. Her M.S. in photojournalism from Boston University launched her into multimedia production, but she continues to focus on still photography as her primary platform for visual storytelling. In addition to her freelance photojournalism, Whit works at emilie inc. as an Associate Wedding Photographer + at Aurora Photos, an international stock agency. Whit loves to travel, tries to live as green as possible, and enjoys the surf, sand, slopes, mountains + music -- usually with camera in hand. Check out Whit Fox's from previous Greendrinks here: |
